Are you constantly hiding your smile because of gapped or crooked teeth? Living with an imperfect smile can diminish your oral health and decrease your self-esteem. Fortunately, you don’t have to live with a misaligned smile forever. At Warren Family Dentistry, our exceptional dentist is a certified Invisalign® Diamond provider and offers Invisalign® clear aligner therapy as a discreet and comfortable alternative to traditional braces.
What Is Invisalign?
Invisalign is a series of customized aligners designed to gently straighten your teeth. This discreet alternative to traditional braces allows patients to align their smiles comfortably and without any dietary restrictions. Depending on your orthodontic issues, Invisalign can help you achieve a straighter smile in as little as 12 months.
Our Michigan dentist can help treat the following dental problems with Invisalign:
- Gaps between teeth
- Crowded teeth
The Invisalign Benefits
With Invisalign treatment, patients enjoy several unique benefits, including:
Designed specifically for your smile, your clear aligners will fit snugly over your teeth, providing comfort on the path to achieving your goals.
Using the patented SmartTrack® material, Invisalign provides a treatment process that’s nearly two times faster than traditional orthodontics.
During your consultation, our dentist will show you a close prediction of how your smile will look after treatment, allowing you to feel confident in your decision.
The Invisalign clear aligners are nearly invisible, so you don’t have to worry about hiding your smile due to noticeable metal brackets and wires.
Invisalign Treatment Process
At Warren Family Dentistry, the Invisalign treatment process can be completed in just a few easy steps. Our patients achieve their dream smiles faster than ever with Invisalign!
Consultation With Your Dentist
The first step is an initial consultation with your dentist, Dr. Behbood, at our Warren, MI practice. She’ll talk with you about your smile goals, discuss your medical history, and evaluate your oral health. We’ll use our advanced dental technology to create digital images of your smile, so we can send them to the Invisalign® laboratory where your aligners are made.
Wearing Your Aligners
You’ll progress through a series of custom aligners, each designed to influence the movement of certain teeth. Each set will be swapped out once every two weeks, and you’ll need to make sure to wear your aligners for at least 22 hours a day. Remove your aligners only to eat, drink, and clean your teeth.
Your New Smile
Most Invisalign treatments take between 12 and 18 months to complete. However, it’s common to begin noticing results within the first few weeks. Your dentist will closely monitor your progress and make any adjustments to your treatment as needed. Once your treatment is complete, you’ll have a beautifully aligned smile you’ll be proud to show off.

Invisalign Clear Aligners Care
It’s vital to properly care for your clear aligners. Follow these tips to keep your aligners in good condition:
- Swap out your aligners once every two weeks.
- Rinse your aligners every time you remove them. This helps them remain clean and clear of bacteria and debris.
- Soak the clear aligners in Invisalign cleaning crystals.
- Always clean your teeth regularly. Brushing your teeth twice a day and flossing daily can reduce your risk of developing cavities and stop any bacteria from spreading to your aligners.
- Brush your aligners whenever you take them out and use a soft-bristled toothbrush to prevent scratching them.
- Remove your aligners when eating or drinking (water is the only exception). Food and drinks can stain your aligners and potentially set back your treatment timeline.
Frequently Asked Questions
Rinse your aligners with lukewarm water and gently brush them with a soft toothbrush. Avoid using toothpaste, as it can scratch the aligners. Specialized Invisalign cleaning crystals or solutions are also available.
You should remove the aligners before eating or drinking anything other than water to prevent damage and staining. Afterward, it’s important to brush your teeth before reinserting the aligners.
The cost of Invisalign varies depending on the complexity of your case and your location. Many dental insurance plans now cover Invisalign treatment to some extent, and many dentists offer financing plans to help offset the cost of Invisalign.
Treatment duration varies based on individual cases, but the average treatment time is around 12 to 18 months. Your orthodontist will create a personalized treatment plan that outlines the expected duration.
